Spaghetti Junction Sessions #2

The Myways and In House Band, at Bar 42. All glazed in a psychedelic magenta that was just about as hard to fix or remove as the dark rings from under my eyes after a night of heavy drinking.

Find out more about the next sessions on Spaghetti Junction's FB fanpage or on the Sessions' group.

Cambridge...

... the place where everybody seems to be on a holiday and where I got to eat some of the best maple syrup pancakes ever. And if you don't believe me, I have a pair of sticky sleeves waiting for you.

Stonehenge (from behind the fence)

Apparently, not even fields are open 24 hours a day in UK. So, if you arrive at Stonehenge later than 4 o'clock - on Sundays, anyway - all you're going to see is this:

Remember, remember, the 5th of November

If you're into fireworks, burning down stuff and heavy rain, then Pype Hayes Park would have been the perfect place to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night. No groaty pudding, but all the mud and and cold sure made me look like one. Which wasn't that bad, since it made the beer after all the more welcome.

Halloween/Oxford

Bicycles, students in tuxedos drinking beer at the pub, huge, old buildings, dancing skeletons. And the prettiest light, after an entire night of raining cats and dogs.

But first, press play.

Unfortunately, I didn't find a live version of "Summer Hit Single" on Youtube (I think that's their best song), so you'll have to settle with their Facebook fan page and this:

Finally, Lizzie

No longer a "studio-virgin", thanks to pretty Lizzie. I had a wonderful time working with her - although I was pretty anxious at first, after the first few shots I realized it wasn't as awkward as I'd expected it. And I got to test a lens I'd just bought, a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8. Here's what came out.
